One Dimensional Motion
This experiment was meant to give us time and an experience to be able to learn and get used to certain equations. Throughout the design of the experiment we were thinking of all of the details necessary to have a successful and simple experiment. This included making sure that we had all of the values we needed so that we didn't have to spend too much extra time finding numbers we can just measure ourselves.
During this experiment we had to try to find acceleration, which we know is 9.8 m/s², but for the sake of practicing the new equations, we pretended we didn't know. The equation we used to find for the acceleration was ΔX = Vo * ΔT + 1/2 * a * (T)^2. We manipulated it so that we could find acceleration.
Through our calculations on Google Spreadsheet we got an average of 13.17 m/s^2. We also had a Standard Deviation of 1.7 m/s^2. Our Percent error though, taken from our average was 34.39%. I think we might've been off mainly because the first calculations were done by hand, and by inexperienced High School Kids. Along with this the camera wasn't always able to get the image of the pen when it exactly hit the points that we wanted it to, thus we had to do a little bit of estimating. All of these factors most likely lead to the somewhat large Percent error and Standard Deviation.
After this Lab I hope to better my knowledge of all of the equations covered and expand on my ability to manipulate and interact with them.

Leaving Earth Flash Fiction
The purpose of the project, Leaving Earth, is to have a chance to explore some of the different Physics concepts involved in launching a rocket to space and navigating to different planets. In the end we put together a complete Rocket Manifest of just about everything we would need to take to space as well as the calculations required in terms of Rocket fuel, thrust in space, engine power required and the amount of fuel to make a landing. What I learned from this project, besides getting a deeper knowledge of how to use several of the Kinematics equations, was that space and science are really complicated, but fun to explore at the same time. Through this project I think I have a gained a newfound interest for space, a new limit to human potential.
Bellow you can find my "Flash Fiction" story. This little science-fiction story uses some of the science we did in a possible scenario for the science we did,
Clark Matney
Roger Rolim de Moura
Clark Matney was on the verge of tears as his mother dragged him by the arm onto the USS Charizard. To him, the world fit in the between the four walls of his room, where he enjoyed playing Minecraft and watching YouTube. To him, the war raging on in the outside world did not exists, and the invasion of the New United States of Trump meant nothing, except that he would have to leave the comfort of his room.
The invasion of his country’s land had their government scrambling as to how they would evacuate their country. The current President, Ronald Trumpet Jr. had decided to select a very small group of individuals who would go out into space in search of a new home. These individuals were chosen by President Trumpet. When he went on live television, he had decided to make up names that he claimed were “destined” to go to space. Yet he was actually making names up hoping they belonged to real people in the N.U.S.
The spaceship was made to take the four year trip over to the moon that goes around Jupiter, Titan. The giant rock would have to be the home for the USS Charizard’s passengers for as long as they live.
Little Clark Matney was attempting to find his calm, as he stumbled upon one of the crew. A tall young man who looked to be checking something on his tablet.
“Oi, lemme have a look at the engines ay?” said little Clark, who, in his hopes of returning back home to his sweet sweet ignorance had taken it upon himself to bother the crew so much, that he and his family would get kicked off the trip and be sent home. “I hope they’re as cool as the other ones I’ve seen.” The crew member looked down at the young boy talking to him.
“Uhh, sure kid.” The crew member put away his tablet and looked around, as if looking for any reason to not take the smelly teenage boy to the engines room. “You have to be careful though, it’s pretty dangerous.”
“Whatever.”
From outside of the ship they say the massive size of the Ion engines, which for four years would help push them closer and closer to their salvation.
“So what do they run off.” said Clark.
“Uranium. Radioactive Uranium.” responded the crew.
“Why.” Clark knew that if he kept up his constant flow of questions the crew member would become fed up and hopefully leave them on Earth.
“Because our engines need a lot of energy, approximately 1.6 x 10^13 Jules in total. Uranium is the most efficient energy source. For example, one kilogram of Uranium-235 can produce 2 x 10^13 Jules of energy” the crew member responded, as if speaking to an elementary school kid.
“Why.” Clark knew he would get to him if he continued to prod him with these thought-provoking questions.
“Because Uranium is just like that.” The crew member was already pissed off. He knew what this kid was up to, and didn’t want to deal with it.
“Why.” Clark was getting to him. He could see the change in the facial expression of the crew member.
“Because of some physics concept that you would never understand.”
“Why.”
“Because you lack the intellectual capacity to do just that.”
“Why.”
“Because you never seek to ask richer questions that’ll deepen your knowledge on any subject!” He was now shouting. More and more frustrated with every question asked.”
“Why.” He saw it, that was it. The last question before he knew he and his family would be kicked off.
“Because you’re just too stupid to understand anything!” The room was silent. With a terrified look on his face Clark Matney stared emptily into the eyes of the crew member, who was struggling to keep the veins on the front of his face from popping out any further. Just as the awkward silence grew longer and longer, Clark knew he had won, and that with one more poke at the crew member’s patience, he would be back home.
“Why.”

Clark Matney was soon returned home on orders of the Crew Member, who had actually been the commander of the ship.
With the rise of Stalin the Third in the East part of the world, the West had no choice but to succumb to the democratic madness that was Russia’s rule. The hierarchy of the Trumpet royal family had come to an end.
Clark Matney was no longer able to enjoy his sad life, as Minecraft was quickly banned and the ability to have a fulfilling and rich life was quickly restored in the country.
The USS Charizard was shot down three years into its journey by Stalin the Third’s interplanetary defence system, as it contained the last bit of communists left on the whole planet.
Russia returned California to the war-ravaged country of Mexico, who since the rise of Trumpet hierarchy had been abused by their big brother up north. Mexico’s president, Micael Aroocan, has since returned the country to it’s once great state.
