College Day: What is it?
Hello there user, you've obviously stumbled upon my College Day page, which as you may have guessed it dedicated to an activity that is done by my school which is related to help us plan a little for college. Hence the name, College Day. What we do on this day is we are given choices of different colleges to go to on that day and we decide which we seem more interested in. Of course students don't have the same choice of colleges to visit every year, because as they move up in grade they get different choices. Overall it is simply an experience to help students, like myself, narrow down what they are looking for in their own college experience.
College Day: 2014
For College Day this year I visited the San Diego State University which is a large public university located in the city of San Diego which currently has approximately 30,00 students. It is a four year university that offers many services and activities including sports and sororities. This college, I learned offers the majors that I am very interested in, those being psychology and philosophy. From what I learned they re both very good classes to take at the college. Not only is the college great for keeping busy but great for meeting people because of all the groups on campus.
The average SAT score when applying to college is between 1,480-1790 and for the ACT is between 22-26 which seems to be relatively achievable. Once a person has applied and been accepted they're required to stay Freshmen year on campus, most likely to help them familiarize themselves with the campus. With all this information it is definitely on my list of colleges to apply to in the near future!
